Lester Korzilius
FAIA, RIBA, MA (Arch), MSc, MFA, MA (Sculpture)

Working between architecture and sculpture, Korzilius creates site-responsive works shaped by material, scale, and embodied encounter.

Lester Korzilius is an architect and artist based in the UK. He is licensed to practise architecture in both the United States and the United Kingdom and has worked internationally on architectural projects across a range of scales, sites, and institutional settings.

In parallel with his architectural career, Korzilius has developed an art practice focused on sculpture, installation, and site-specific work. He holds an MFA from the University of Sussex / West Dean College and an MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art, and is currently a practice-based doctoral researcher in Fine Art at the University of Leeds.

His artistic work draws directly on architectural modes of thinking, particularly construction, material logic, and spatial sequencing. Interested in how viewers move through and inhabit space, his work often engages public and institutional sites, establishing conditions in which form is encountered bodily and over time rather than as a fixed object. The tectonic character of the work reflects an ongoing investigation into how built form mediates perception, memory, and presence.
