Auriga

Part of the Cosmos series the work explores the interaction of form, materiality, and colour. This piece is directly mounted on a wall with no visible framing, background or support. A curved steel lattice interacts with organic forms, each forming a counterpoint to each other. The name of the work is taken from Ptolemy’s constellations, which has as its basis the earth (read the viewer) as the centre of the universe.
