Granton Primary School

Expansion of a Victorian 'Board' school. A fixed existing and inflexible existing structural system was overcome by extending the front of the building outwards to create remodelled and enlarged classrooms.

Site entrances re-designed to allow multiple access points at peak periods. New, pre-fabricated building constructed for KS4.

Initial façade proposal, shown in sketches above (not constructed) incorporated subtle pastel colours to enliven an an otherwise monochromatic building.
