Project Airport Terminal Staff Accommodation Description Staff accommodation for an airport terminal, including airport and airline staff. Idea Owing to union pressures and different corporate cultures, the staff accommodation in larger airports tends to be very fragmented and as a consequence small and cramped. By consolidating all of these disparate accommodations into one central facility the opportunity exists to create a uniquely special place. Within the plan of the airport terminal there was under-utilized deep plan space.  By having a hub of activities and by creating judicious voids, natural light and openness were provided to all major accommodation areas. A hub of open eating and social areas is provided.  Around these are grouped support functions that are more cellular in nature.            Return to homepage
